Description:Position Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the daily activities of the Payroll and delivery operation. This position provides operational direction and leadership to all associates supporting delivery requirements. Encourages and enables personal and professional growth of all hourly associates. This position will be responsible to oversee fleet requirements and work with our third-party provider on timely repair of all equipment. Key Accountabilities:Maintain Time and Labor records for all Union Employees: includes all job changes, premium codes, breaks, missing punches, and inputting all time off details, and all other miscellaneous detailsReview and Approve all Union Employees Time Sheets no later than Monday Morning 8:00amEnsure a safe and clean workplace to avoid injuries and handle Workers Compensation matters for employees injured on the jobEstablish priorities and ensure complianceEstablish and maintain daily production scheduleBroad knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulationsEnsuring appropriate staffing levels and operating schedules to meet delivery requirements and schedulesAbility to work in a fast-paced and demanding environmentMeet established sales, customer service and delivery expectationsMaintain staffing and equipment needs for the operationTrain and develop drivers and helpers for the delivery operationInterface with Customers and Salesmen to resolve delivery issues as they come upPosition supports both inbound and outbound transportation teams as neededWork closely with Operations Manager and Director to ensure compliance with company and department policies and procedures; recommend improvements as needed as well as to collective bargaining agreementsIn consultation with Operations Manager or Director, administer disciplinary action as neededEnsure proper allocation of resources to complete daily workload in a timely and cost-efficient mannerEnsure accurate and timely completion of daily workload with strong focus on customer service while controlling costsEvaluate daily performance and shift resources as neededAbility to function effectively in multi-union warehouse environmentResponsible for the preparation of customer delivery schedules and subsequent daily routing of orders to ensure customer service and low costAbility to work Sundays as requiredAdditional Responsibilities:Provide back-up for delivery and or routing coverageTrain, support, and coach drivers and helpersWork closely with the safety manager to support all safety initiativesOther duties as assignedRequirements:Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong Attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a faced paced environmentStrong understanding of accounting software i.e VIP, D365Education/Experience/Training:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or Supply ChainMinimum 5 years of Supply ChainSpecialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Computer skills, knowledge of Word and Excel. In-depth knowledge of Transportation and Routing SystemsSkill in conflict resolution and negotiationSkill in effective, clear oral and written communications; Ability to lead, motivate and secure performance of staff positions in achieving key performance goals
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
