Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems on GM vehicles and other makes.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with team members regarding repair progress or additional work needed.Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and auto estimating procedures.
- Skilled in diagnosing issues using automotive diagnostics equipment; familiar with schematics interpretation.
- Proficient in repairing transmissions, alignments, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and auto body work.
- Experience working with ADAS technology, welding techniques, and auto electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients while maintaining professionalism.
