Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, utilizing automotive diagnostics tools and estimating software to identify issues accurately
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, providing detailed service writing that includes mechanical assessments such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, oil changes, air brake systems, alignments, and collision repairs
- Upsell additional services and maintenance options by highlighting benefits aligned with customer needs while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, estimates, client communications, and repair orders using auto service management systems
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or auto service advisor background with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics enhances ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, oil change procedures, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, brake repair, alignment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Sales experience with a focus on upselling maintenance services while maintaining integrity and transparency
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to facilitate test drives or vehicle inspections
