Quality Air Services is looking for a motivated Hydronic Technician Assistant to join our growing commercial HVAC team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC, or mechanical experience who wants to develop specialized skills working on commercial hydronic heating systems.
You'll work alongside experienced Hydronic Technicians and Lead Installers on projects throughout the Washington, DC Metro area, gaining hands-on experience with boilers, pumps, piping systems, and commercial mechanical equipment.

What You'll Do
As a Hydronic Technician Assistant, you will:
- Assist with the installation of commercial hydronic heating systems
- Help install boilers, pumps, piping, valves, radiators, and related mechanical equipment
- Load, unload, organize, and transport materials and tools
- Assist with equipment startup, testing, and system troubleshooting
- Cut, measure, and assemble piping under the direction of experienced technicians
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Complete work accurately while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Learn commercial hydronic installation techniques from experienced professionals
Qualifications
Required
- 1-2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Plumbing
- Pipefitting
- HVAC
- Mechanical construction
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working on ladders and in mechanical rooms
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation to our Rockville, MD office
Preferred
- Trade school or apprenticeship in HVAC, Plumbing, or Pipefitting
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Duct Installation experience
- Commercial construction experience
- OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain)
