Overview
Join our growing team as an HVAC Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines, drainage, and water supply connections.
- Utilize diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, motors, welders, and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections or repairs performed, and report on system performance or issues within our software system.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in construction with a focus on HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler maintenance, and property maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles for effective troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Experience working with field service operations across commercial or residential settings.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and equipment repair techniques including welding when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R safety standards and regulations; certifications in refrigeration or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous.
- Additional skills in welding, boiler operation, mechanical repairs, or appliance servicing will be considered a plus.
