Position Overview
Quality Ag Service is seeking a highly motivated and well-connected Independent Sales Representative to expand our presence in the wholesale and retail agricultural chemical market. This individual will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing existing accounts, and driving sales growth within their assigned territory.
The ideal candidate has an established network within the ag industry, experience selling to chemical distributors and retailers, and a strong understanding of generic herbicides and pesticides.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale distributors and retail ag chemical buyers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, outreach, and networking
- Promote and sell Quality Ag Service’s portfolio of generic crop protection products
- Manage sales pipeline, forecasts, and territory growth strategies
- Provide market feedback, competitive insights, and customer needs to internal team
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts within company guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in agricultural chemical sales, preferably at the wholesale or distribution level
- Strong network of contacts within ag retailers and chemical distributors
- Knowledge of generic herbicides, pesticides, and agronomic practices
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, and relationship-building
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
