Qualitest is seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Senior Test Automation Engineer for a Full-Time Permanent position based in New York City, NY, with a Hybrid work model (4 days onsite per week).
The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering, with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and Tricentis Tosca. This role requires hands-on experience in automation framework design, development, and maintenance, along with the ability to collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders to drive quality engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
- Drive end-to-end, UI, and API automation initiatives using Tosca and Selenium
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define testing strategies and quality goals
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Perform test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across teams
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills
- 10 years of experience in QA and Test Automation
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Java
- Selenium (4/5 proficiency)
- Tricentis Tosca (4/5 proficiency)
- Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (3/5 proficiency)
- Strong understanding of automation framework architecture and design
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing)
- Exposure to Playwright automation
- Experience with qTest, VersionOne, and AI-assisted tools such as Cursor AI or similar platforms
- Healthcare domain knowledge including payer, provider, claims, EHR, or HIPAA compliance
