DER Infrastructure Testing Lead (QA Analyst – SIT/UAT Lead)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Testing Lead to manage and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large enterprise IT infrastructure programs. These programs include network, security, cloud, and platform transformations.
DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System) is a platform used by utilities to manage distributed energy sources like solar panels, battery storage, electric vehicles, and smart devices. It helps monitor and control energy flow across the grid in real time.
This role will be the central coordination point between engineering teams, business users, vendors, and operations. The focus is on test planning, execution, defect management, and ensuring full testing readiness before production release. The role will also handle testing metrics, reporting, and overall quality governance.
Must Have Skills
- Experience leading and coordinating SIT and UAT testing in enterprise IT infrastructure projects
- Strong coordination skills with ability to work across technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience preparing and publishing test status reports, including metrics (progress, defects, readiness)
Nice to Have
- Experience with DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems)
- Experience in utility, energy, or regulated enterprise environments
- Knowledge of cloud or hybrid infrastructure (Azure, AWS)

Key Responsibilities
SIT / UAT Planning & Coordination
- Plan and manage SIT and UAT test cycles for infrastructure programs
- Coordinate testing across multiple teams (network, security, cloud, infrastructure, application teams)
- Ensure test environments, data, and access are ready before execution
- Define scope, timelines, and entry/exit criteria with stakeholders
Test Execution Management
- Oversee day-to-day SIT and UAT execution activities
- Track test cases, execution progress, and results
- Ensure test scripts are executed and properly documented
- Validate infrastructure components such as connectivity, security, and integrations
- Manage defect logging, tracking, and retesting cycles
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between engineering teams, business users, and vendors
- Coordinate UAT participation and business validation activities
- Lead daily and weekly testing status meetings and updates
Defect & Quality Management
- Track defects from logging to closure
- Ensure proper documentation and retesting of issues
- Confirm readiness based on exit criteria before production release
- Support resolution of cross-system issues such as network, authentication, and data flow
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and present test status reports (progress, risks, defects, readiness)
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases
- Support go/no-go release decisions with clear testing metrics
- Ensure compliance with enterprise QA and governance standards
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to test strategy and test planning improvements
- Improve testing processes, tools, and reporting methods
- Promote QA best practices across teams
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in QA, testing, or test coordination roles
- Experience leading SIT and UAT cycles in IT infrastructure or platform projects
- Strong understanding of SDLC and testing lifecycle (SIT, UAT, defect management)
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Knowledge of infrastructure environments (networking, security, cloud, or data platforms)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in utility, energy, or regulated enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with network and security testing (VPN, firewall, access control)
- Experience with enterprise reporting tools (Power BI, ERP systems)
