We are currently seeking a motivated and meticulous Chemist to join our laboratory team in Ridgefield, New Jersey.

Position Overview

The Chemist will perform analytical testing on cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and chemical products using a combination of instrumental analysis and classical wet-chemistry techniques. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on laboratory work in a fast-paced analytical environment.

Key Responsibilities

·       Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet-chemical methods

·       Conduct analyses following AOAC, FCC, FDA, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, or validated in-house methods

·       Prepare samples, reagents, and calibration standards

·       Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation

·       Accurately document analytical results and maintain laboratory records

·       Follow laboratory safety, quality, and hygiene procedures

·       Assist with microbiological preparations such as culture media and bacterial colonies (preferred but not required)

Qualifications

Required

·       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline

·       Stronge diligence and organizational skills

·       Ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment

·       Ability to work onsite in Ridgefield, NJ

Preferred

·       Experience in an analytical or pharmaceutical laboratory

·       Familiar with USP, FDA, or AOAC testing methods

·       Basic knowledge of microbiological techniques

Laboratory Instrumentation

Experience with the following instruments is a plus:

·       HPLC / UPLC

·       FTIR

·       Gas Chromatography (GC)

·       UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

·       TOC Analyzer

·       Karl Fischer Titrator

·       Polarimeter

·       SPF Analyzer

·       Other analytical instrumentation
