IT and Application Support Technician

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy IT and Application Support Technician to join our IT team in an entry-level capacity. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to grow their skills. The position combines IT Helpdesk Tier 1 responsibilities with hands-on application support. You’ll assist end users with common IT issues while also supporting the setup, maintenance, and administration of software across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support for end-user IT issues via phone, email, or in person.
• Assist with password resets, software installations, and basic troubleshooting.
• Log and track support requests using a ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians as needed.
• Follow documented procedures and contribute to knowledge base updates.
• Support desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
• Have a clear understanding of system policies and procedures.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Create, configure, and maintain SharePoint sites to support evolving team and project needs.
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and roles across business-critical applications, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Write, edit, and manage help center articles to ensure accurate, user-friendly content.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in IT or a related field is a plus.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and common operating systems (Windows/macOS).
• Strong interest in IT and a willingness to learn on the job.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication, writing, and customer service skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
