What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Specialist position at Qualified Recruiter, LLC?
Location: Andover, Massachusetts (Onsite)
We are looking for motivated people who want to grow their careers in IT. We are hiring a Desktop Support Technician to support one of our valued clients in Andover, MA. You will help employees with their computers, printers, and other workplace technology.
What You Will Do:
- Fix computer software issues
- Set up new computers and move or replace existing ones (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes)
- Load and update computer images
- Recover and track computer equipment
- Tag and manage IT assets
- Support printers and related devices
- Help users at the Client Center (Tech Bar)
- Update tickets and records in IT service systems
- Perform other IT support tasks as needed to keep users satisfied
What We’re Looking For:
- Some experience in Desktop Support is helpful, but training is provided for entry-level candidates
- Basic knowledge of computer imaging
- Experience handling IT issues and changes
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Bomgar, LapLink, and Secure Disk Wipe is a plus
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Dell Technician certification
- Experience managing computer inventory
Job Requirements:
- Must live close to Andover, MA and be able to work onsite
- Must be a U.S. citizen (required for a government contract)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods
- Must be able to use stairs or ramps
- Must be comfortable kneeling or working under desks and in tight spaces
