Our client in Saginaw is seeking an experienced Panel Builder/Industrial Electrician for a position within their organization! They are a relatively smaller organization that has been working with motion controls and automation for decades and is growing their team!
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Industrial Electricians wire, assemble, and complete electrical design for electrical motor control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, electrical assembly, or automation controls.
In this position you will create electrical control/HMI panels for automation equipment to customer specifications. These HMI’s will control PLC’s, drives, motion controllers or PID controllers in the client facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be familiar with all phases of panel building (ie. drilling, mounting, and wire motor controls). Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLCs, etc.
- Worked with industrial control components (pushbuttons, beacons, motor starters, contactors, relays, etc.).
- Ability to read electrical schematics to wire the electrical components together.
- Ability to read panel layout drawings to layout devices on an electrical backplane.
- Drill & tap holes to the electrical backplane for mounting control devices.
- Read electrical schematics to wire PLC inputs and outputs to terminal block and electrical components.
- Use a digital multi-meter for point-to-point quality check during the panel building process.
