What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor position at Qualicoat Inc.?
The Production Associate position has a wide variety of responsibilities including inspecting customer products, preparing products from plastic to metal materials for production/coating, masking operations and potentially preparing products for packing. This position can be found working in multiple departments supporting overall production and customer needs.
OBJECTIVES:
- Provide a continuous flow of quality parts to the coating departments to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Improve quality, knowledge, ability and understanding of overall company policies and procedures.
- Optimum use of materials with minimum waste.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure the organization meets or exceeds customers’ needs regarding quality and delivery.
- Strong sense of teamwork and accountability.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Good listening skills.
- Must be able to tailor their communication style to fit a broad spectrum of people including managers, employees, and customers.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Strong organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques, team lifts or lifting equipment.
- Able to endure long periods of standing on concrete floors and be able to tolerate warm, humid conditions.
- Move about the department and production floor to retrieve tools and supplies necessary to complete production requirements.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIEINCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- No experience needed - will train
