Primary Responsibilities
Workplace Safety
- Spend time throughout the production and fabrication areas observing daily operations
- Identify potential hazards and recommend practical safety improvements
- Encourage employees to follow established safety procedures
- Help foster a positive workplace culture centered on safety and accountability
- Conduct routine workplace inspections and safety observations
- Document safety concerns and monitor corrective actions until resolved
- Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable safety regulations
- Recommend process improvements that reduce workplace risks
- Assist with new employee safety orientation and onboarding
- Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training
- Provide daily guidance on safe work practices
- Communicate safety expectations and company initiatives across departments
- Assist with reporting workplace injuries, incidents, and near-miss events
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Help develop corrective and preventive action plans
- Verify corrective actions are completed and documented
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files
- Support internal audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Assist with continuous improvement of safety programs and workplace procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Risk Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience will also be considered
- Two or more years of experience in workplace safety, EHS, manufacturing, industrial operations, or risk management preferred
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, and incident investigation procedures
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership across multiple departments
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or similar credentials are preferred
