Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support workplace safety programs in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This hands-on role focuses on hazard identification, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while helping maintain a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active presence throughout production and fabrication areas
- Monitor daily operations to identify workplace hazards and safety concerns
- Promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture
- Conduct routine safety inspections and document findings
- Track corrective actions and follow through to completion
- Support compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations
- Assist with new hire safety orientation, training, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Provide safety coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors
- Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis
- Help implement corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, inspection reports, and compliance files
- Support ongoing improvements to safety programs and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience in safety, EHS, risk management, manufacturing, or an industrial environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, and incident investigation
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels
- ASP, CSP, or other professional safety certifications are preferred
