Job Title: CNC Turret Punch Technician (Setup & Fabrication)

Shift Availability: First and Third Shift (flexibility required based on production needs)
Compensation: Up to $40.00 per hour (based on directly relevant experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turret Punch Technician to support high-precision sheet metal fabrication. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating punch press equipment while ensuring consistent part quality and efficient production flow.
This position requires strong technical knowledge of tooling, materials, and fabrication processes, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing production priorities.
\n- Set up CNC turret punch equipment, including program loading, tooling selection, and material staging
- Align and verify punches, dies, and forming tools before and during production runs
- Review punch layouts and make adjustments to improve efficiency, accuracy, and material usage
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as tool wear, feeding problems, or material defects
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documentation to guide fabrication
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and leadership teams to meet production goals
- Independently manage workflow to maintain throughput and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with CNC turret punch equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience working with sheet metal materials such as galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Proficiency with measuring tools, including calipers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Solid math skills (geometry and trigonometry)
- Ability to estimate job timelines and plan work effectively
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements (standing, bending, walking, etc.)
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions (hot/cold environments)
- Flexibility to work either 1st or 3rd shift as needed
- Exposure to G-code editing or modification
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Forklift operation experience
- Background in production planning or project coordination
- CNC turret punch presses with automatic tool changers and large tool capacity
- Combination punch/laser fabrication systems
