CNC Machinist / Programmer

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM-12:00 PM

Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week

Pay: Up to $33.00/hour, depending on experience

Potential Temp-to-Hire: After 90 days

Position Overview

We are hiring a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined components and industrial equipment parts. The role involves CNC programming, machine setup, operation, inspection, and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances in a heavy industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Read and interpret shop machining drawings and technical documentation
• Create CNC programs using G-code
• Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls. Experience with every control is not required
• Machine parts to tight tolerances, including measurements as close as 0.0005"
• Inspect completed work using precision tools such as:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Dial bore gauges
  
• Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy
• Follow safe operating practices in a heavy industrial environment
• Maintain reliable attendance and a professional approach to work
• Lift materials or components weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Work the scheduled hours, including Saturdays when required
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC programming and machine operation
• Ability to understand and work from technical and machining drawings
• Strong precision measurement and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to maintain tight machining tolerances
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality
