Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Laser Operator

Location: Louisa, VA

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Pay: Up to $22/hr to start

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our 2nd shift team. The ideal candidate will operate and monitor a Bismarck CNC laser cutting machine to process carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the CNC laser cutting machine to ensure accurate production
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders for precise part quality
• Set up the machine, adjust cutting parameters, and prepare tooling for daily operations
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components using forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes as needed
• Perform routine maintenance, including lens cleaning, nozzle changes, and alignment checks
• Monitor production, troubleshoot quality or equipment issues, and communicate with supervisors
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with CNC laser machines preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes if required
