Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for their examinations by documenting vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment and instruments are ready.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for further analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Schedule appointments and effectively manage office communications.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and skincare regimens.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and replenished with necessary supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Previous experience in a Medical Assistant role or in a clinical environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, specifically in dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software applications is advantageous.
