We are looking for an HVAC controls technician that can install, program, troubleshoot, and maintains control systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and building automation systems (BAS) to optimize comfort and energy efficiency. Key duties include wiring, configuring sensors and controllers, programming software, and interfacing with the building's central control system to diagnose malfunctions, ensure proper operation, and provide training on system usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation:
Install control panels, wiring, thermostats, sensors, and other control equipment for HVAC systems.
- Programming and Configuration:
Load and configure software for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and other control platforms. This includes setting up trends, alarms, and reports, and programming controllers to manage system operation.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose and repair issues within the complex network of sensors, controllers, and software that govern HVAC systems.
- Calibration:
Calibrate sensors and other components to ensure they are providing accurate data and readings.
- Maintenance:
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the control systems and components are functioning correctly and to maintain system integrity.
- System Analysis:
Monitor and analyze the performance of the Building Automation System to balance energy management with occupant comfort.
- Documentation and Training:
Prepare project documentation, create control flowcharts, and provide site-specific training to customers or building operators on how to use the control system.
