What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Quaker City Castings?
The Foundry Lab Technician operates various laboratory analysis and testing equipment, including manual lathe, metallographic microscope, tensile tester, sand testing, hardness tester, charpy test and jominy test.
Responsibilities:
- Operates foundry lab equipment to produce accurate results.
- Is able to fill in for absent technicians as needed due to illness, vacation, etc.
- Occasionally fills in for other foundry workers.
Qualifications:
- Is able to read and write clearly
- Is able to understand customer specifications.
- Is competent with computer software, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Is able to safely operate forklifts.
- Understands the importance of accurately performing testing and recording data.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
