- Play an essential role in the day-to-day activities of the logistics team in fulfilling tasks. Apply knowledge and experience to receive incoming material; maintain and record accurate accountability of receiving, materials returned, products shipped/received, etc.
Warehouse Operator Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, and safety standards.
- Lead and train warehouse personnel in material receipt, storage, dispensing, and shipping procedures.
- Verify and maintain accurate inventory records through physical counts and ERP transactions.
- Oversee incoming inspection, labeling, and sampling of raw materials and components.
- Ensure segregation of quarantined, released, and rejected materials in compliance with QA requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Logistics to support manufacturing schedules and material availability.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, equipment readiness per SOPs.
- Monitor and document temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions for controlled storage areas.
- Support audits, inspections, and investigations by providing accurate records and traceability.
- Operate the Forklift and pallet jack.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within warehouse operations.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Warehouse Operator Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, or a related field experience preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations within a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, GDP, FDA, and OSHA standards for material handling and documentation.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Proficiency in material receipt, sampling, dispensing, and shipment processes.
- Familiarity with temperature-controlled storage, controlled substances, and hazardous material handling.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
