Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and appointment calendar.
Exp Utilizing a variety of software programs (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures.
Help desk support preferred
Ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments.
Ability to deal tactfully with various levels of personnel.
Ability to work within a team environment.
DUTIES:
The Secretary Admin/ Editorial liaison will support large Government federal entity
Typing, proofreading, and editing a variety of technical, scientific, and other government documents and official correspondence in accordance with standards, guidelines, and agency procedures.
Reviewing incoming correspondence, announcements, and other mail. Utilizing a variety of software programs (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) in performing assigned work.
Maintaining automated tracking or ticket systems for proper handling of controlled correspondence and action items.
Answering telephone calls from a variety of customers and greeting visitors. Managing and maintaining supervisors' calendars and scheduling meetings and events.
Occasional backup support to the Help Desk which may include:
Monitor incoming customer service requests from:
Customers arriving at the ASC Help Desk physical location (in person)
Customers telephoning the ASC Help Desk
Customers e-mailing the ASC Help Desk
Ensure that e-mail and electronic customer service requests receive a response within 4 business hours of receipt. The contractor's response shall be an acknowledgement of receipt, notification of completion, or a status update on the request, as appropriate.
Coordinating work assignments and office coverage with other administrative staff to ensure mission accomplishment and to support a collaborative work environment.
Making travel arrangements, preparing travel authorizations and vouchers, within prescribed timeframes.
Preparing electronic time and attendance records.
Using the Agency-wide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS) to electronically produce, store, and retrieve official agency records.
Providing advice and recommendations to staff members on proper procedures and formats for the preparation of correspondence, reports, staff papers, and other documents.
