What you’ll do:
- Process applications and check eligibility for housing programs
- Help with re-certifications, rent adjustments, moves, and more
- Keep participant files organized and assist the public with questions
- Learn the ins and outs of federal housing programs (HUD rules included!)
- Coordinate with teammates, supervisors, and other departments to keep things running smoothly
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist certification within one year of hire
- Two years of experience in public-facing or customer service roles. Accounting, mortgage processing, or direct customer service experience is a plus. Experience beyond the minimum may substitute for part of the educational requirement
- Knowledge of HCV program requirements, policies, or procedures is preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and math skills
- Hands-on experience with housing programs
- Training and support to earn your HCV Specialist certification
