Duties
- Develop and implement individualized employment plans tailored to each client’s strengths, interests, and goals.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses and community partners to identify job openings and cultivate employment opportunities.
- Conduct engaging interviews and assessments to understand clients’ skills, preferences, and barriers to employment.
- Provide comprehensive training, mentoring, and coaching to prepare clients for workplace success
- Conduct meetings with clients on workplace etiquette, resume writing, interview techniques, and addiction counseling when applicable.
- Support clients through the entire job placement process, including onboarding and follow-up to ensure sustained employment.
- Stay informed about employment & labor law updates to ensure compliance in all activities.
Skills
- Deep understanding of employment & labor law principles relevant to workforce development initiatives.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- Strong teaching abilities combined with effective mentoring skills to empower clients toward independence.
- Strong skills in interviewing, training & development within diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews, building employer relationships, and delivering training sessions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and community partners.
