Purpose:
We are looking for a Software Tester with strong experience in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI reports and data pipelines built on Power BI and Snowflake. You will play a critical part in delivering high-quality analytics solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate BI Reports and Dashboards
- Test Power BI reports for data accuracy, visual integrity, and business logic.
- Ensure dashboards meet usability and performance standards.
- Data Quality & ETL Testing
- Verify data consistency between source systems, Snowflake data warehouse, and BI layers.
- Conduct regression testing on ETL processes and transformations.
- Develop Test Plans
- Create and execute detailed test cases for BI solutions.
- Document defects, track resolutions, and maintain audit-ready test evidence.
- Validate role-based access and security configurations in BI tools.
- Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced college degree
- Experience testing with Power BI or another BI tool.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement a plus
- Detail oriented and logical thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience working with SQL databases to query data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in creating test plans.
- Experience with test automation a plus
- Experience using Agile SDLC a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
