What are the responsibilities and job description for the QCBT Internship position at Quad City Bank & Trust?
Quad City Bank & Trust is looking for an Intern to join us through the summer of 2024. Quad City Bank & Trust (QCBT) and QCR Holding's (QCRH) Summer Banking Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain meaningful on-the-job work exposure in multiple areas of a financial institution, in an environment where relationships are important. This is a paid internship. Each internship will be focused on the Intern's top area of interest/expertise pertaining to their related course of study. The Internship will also give the Intern an opportunity to add value at QCBT and QCRH and to talk with members of other departments to better understand how each function impacts the company. Giving back to our community is a core value for Quad City Bank & Trust and QCR Holdings, so each Intern will also have the opportunity to support a local non-profit organization through a Volunteer Day organized by the company.
Ideal candidates would have be in process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in any business discipline, but especially in Accounting, Finance, or Sales. Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills required. Ability to learn and use various computer programs. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required. Ability to manage a rotating schedule and travel to different branches, as-needed. Must be committed to fostering and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. Strong interpersonal relation skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, while being tactful, mature, and professional. Ability to deal with information of the utmost privacy and obtain confidentiality.
