The Quad City Animal Welfare Center Wellness Clinic is looking for a compassionate and dedicated full time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who loves working with both animals and people and wants to make a real difference every day.
In this role, you will work in a busy spay and neuter clinic as well as a wellness clinic, and you will also assist in caring for shelter animals with a variety of medical needs. This is a fun and rewarding environment where your work directly contributes to saving lives.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a fast paced setting, can manage multiple tasks at once, and thrives as part of a team. Previous experience is strongly preferred. Weekend availability is required.
Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable handling cats and dogs safely and confidently. Responsibilities include assisting with sedation and anesthesia monitoring, performing intubation, drawing blood for testing, administering vaccinations, supporting surgical procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
