What are the responsibilities and job description for the Set-up/Process Technician-First Shift position at Quad 4 Plastics?
Main function of Set-Up/Process Technician: Oversee all tasks associated with the injection molding machines, robots, dryers, grinders, and all other related equipment.
Duties included but not limited to the function of Set-Up/Process Technician:
- Performing equipment set-up and change-overs: Installing the correct molds/inserts into the correct machines using the correct tools for the job. Changing tools over according to which model is used.
- Perform all required quality and safety checks including visual inspection of parts for defects
- Ability to clearly document required information
- Preparing and mixing raw materials for production
- Cleaning of equipment, work area and facility while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements: dryers, grinders, machine hoppers, etc.
- Answering machine alarms
- Identifying and reporting issues and potential issue to Plant Manager
- Fixing part defects; fixing machine faults
- Adding oil and lubricating fluid to machines as needed
- Changing machine fan filters
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Provide support to meet department and company objectives
- Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with machine operators and quality personnel
- Maintain proper training for employees on shift
- Remove product from machines/wrap skids using forklift
