Duties
- Assemble electronic devices, including PCB (Printed Circuit Board) components, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and surface mount technology (SMT).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately follow assembly instructions.
- Build electrical panels and wiring harnesses by following detailed schematic diagrams and blueprint specifications.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and ohmmeters to verify component placement and electrical continuity.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including machining and fitting electro-mechanical components into enclosures or assemblies.
- Conduct troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues during assembly or testing phases, utilizing engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards for electronics assembly, maintaining quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and electrical wiring techniques.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate component placement.
- Experience with soldering techniques, including hand soldering and rework on surface-mount devices.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical panel building is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and electro-mechanical component integration.
- Excellent attention to detail, precision measurement skills, and adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
