What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Coordinator position at QTS OF ARIZONA LLC?
Every shift, you’re the voice that connects a dialysis patient to their ride, a wheelchair user to their appointment, and an elderly resident to the care they need.
As a Dispatcher/CSR with Quality Transport Services, your work isn’t just logistics — it’s a lifeline. QTS provides Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for individuals who are unable to travel independently: people with disabilities, the elderly, those in the final stages of life, and individuals recuperating from hospital stays. Our team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all holidays, ensuring every client gets where they need to go safely and with dignity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll serve a dual function: keeping our drivers on track and our clients confident that we’ve got them covered. No two shifts are exactly alike — you’ll juggle phone calls, routing decisions, and real-time problem solving, all while keeping a calm, professional presence. You’ll work extensively in MediRoutes, our routing software (we’ll train you), and must be comfortable with email and basic computer tasks.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Answer high-volume inbound and outbound calls from clients, customers, and drivers — giving each your full attention
- Dispatch drivers and manage real-time route adjustments to keep trips on schedule
- Monitor driver departure times, destinations, and expected returns
- Assist drivers with scheduling issues or last-minute changes requested by clients
- Log incidents, no-shows, and client concerns accurately and promptly
- Communicate with clients with empathy, professionalism, and a service-first mindset
- Review daily schedules and trip reconciliation; flag system or performance issues to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check
YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU…
- Stay calm and focused when the phones are busy and schedules shift unexpectedly
- Can juggle multiple conversations and tasks at the same time without losing the thread
- Communicate clearly and with genuine care — active listening is a skill you’ve developed
- Are flexible with scheduling, including some evenings, weekends, or holidays (we operate 24/7)
- Want a role where what you do every day genuinely matters to real people
