Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering (or related field)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months.
- 5 years of experience in field construction management or construction administration is required.
- WILL ALSO CONSIDER :
- Practice Lead with 10 - 12 years' experience
- PM/CM or Resident Engineer with 8 or more years experience
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction management related processes, as well as industry practices.
- Competent project management skills within water/waste water.
- Certification as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is desirable.
- In this role, you'll help to build and lead a CEI team of multi-disciplined individuals supporting major water/wastewater project pursuits and construction projects.
- Provides guidance regarding scope of work, schedules, procedures, design conflicts, field construction problems, and other technical information.
- Maintains design and construction engineering quality control and quality assurance.
- Collaborates with management, clients, design professionals, contractors, and other stake holders.
- Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with safety procedures and industry standards.
- Organizes and maintains project control documentation, design deliverable reviews, IFC drawings and specifications, back-charge documents, change orders, etc.
- Monitors consultant or contractor performance pertaining to schedule, design deliverables, and conformance to plans, specifications, standards, and client procedures.
- Conducts performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
- Makes decisions regarding long-range planning, scheduling, budgeting, work priorities, and personnel.
- Provide advice on engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters to management.
- Frequently interfaces with upper-level management and client personnel.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of three (3-5) years of professional engineering experience
- Registered Professional Engineer required upon hire with preference to Arizona registration. (Will consider those looking to get PE also.)
- The successful candidate will work on water and wastewater (CIP) projects, from initial concept to construction completion and closeout.
- Contact point for outside agencies and administer contracts
- Address resident concerns and or city inquiries.
- Review plans and specifications, design.
- Participate in consultant selection and coordinate inspections
- Monitor budgets and perform related work as assigned
