Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately process customer transactions
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and accountability
- Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and increase sales
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Bilingual abilities are considered a plus for serving a diverse customer base
- Experience with upselling, product demos, merchandising, and stock management is beneficial
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles within the team

Pay: $20.78 - $25.03 per hour
