Position Summary:
QSI, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll and payroll tax experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage payroll processing for multiple companies while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Process and review employee timesheets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Process, balance, and audit payrolls for multiple companies.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings and related documentation.
- Audit payroll taxes and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare annual W-2s and other required payroll reports.
- Reconcile employee benefits and payroll-related benefit deductions.
- Maintain workers’ compensation policies, classifications, and rates.
- Monitor payroll records for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Perform various other payroll, accounting, and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of payroll and payroll tax experience required.
- Experience processing payroll for multiple companies strongly preferred.
- Kronos/UKG Ready experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, and reconciliations.
- Experience with W-2 preparation and year-end payroll processes.
- Excel experience with pivot tables and formulas required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Overtime may be required.
Working conditions:
Job is performed in our corporate headquarters.
Compensation & Schedule:
Full-Time | $22.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Physical requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
