Culver West Health Center) has an amazing opportunity for a Full Time Speech Language Pathologist ( SLP) to join their In-House Therapy Team. We are a 91-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Culver City, California. At Culver West Health Center, we strive to ease the process by providing an environment where patients and guests feel informed and comfortable.Each patient will be paired with a coordinator to help ease the transition and provide a familiar smiling face. Our staff is here to answer any of your questions and lend a helping hand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluate Residents conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficitsHelp Residents in their goals to improve Cognition of SwallowingEducation for Residents and CaregiversProvide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments as well as develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase client’s independence and functioningProvide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disordersProvide training and education to client, family, caregivers and other professionals as a subject matter expertCoordinate and collaborate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered by physicianDemonstrate competent technical skills according to current Speech Therapy standards of practiceCommunicate changes in resident’s conditionProvide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentationRespond to family requests and concerns timelyCoordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staffAssure resident abuse or neglect does not occurObserve confidentiality and safeguards for all patient informationComplies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements Career Advantages:In-house opportunityPractice in an environment built on integrity and progressive, ethical careClinical expertise & training availableElectronic documentation systemWork collaboratively with a supportive team of therapists and nursing staffFlexible ScheduleFull Benefits/PTO The rehab team is strategically designed with growth, opportunity, and career enrichment in mind!
