Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX./Cd Juarez This role is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for milling and machining operations, ensuring parts are produced to specification and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters, and setting up programs for various CNC machines. The CNC Programmer collaborates with machinists, engineers, and production staff to troubleshoot issues, improve cycle times, and enhance overall process efficiency. Additional responsibilities include documenting programs, maintaining revision control, and supporting continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in CNC Programming and Programming for machining processes.
- Proficiency with Machining and Milling operations, including tooling selection and setup.
- Ability to interpret and work from Technical Drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Experience with CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar) and CAM software is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances, GD&T, and quality control practices.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to diagnose and correct machining and program issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional production and engineering teams.
- Prior experience as a CNC programmer or machinist in a production environment is strongly preferred.
