What are the responsibilities and job description for the Market Research Intern position at QPS, LLC?

The Market Research Intern is an ongoing part-time, onsite position, maximum of 29 hours per week. This internship, under the guidance of a Senior Vice President, will conduct market research to provide up-to-date overview of the current status of drug discovery and development, and pipeline in specific therapeutic areas.
This role requires that candidates be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment. We do not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates working under CPT or OPT are not eligible.

The Job
- Conduct market research of pharma/biopharma to update approved drugs, discover companies in specific therapeutic areas to understand the current pipeline of the overall industry
- Work with Technical Operations (TechOps) to track the status of each drug development program within QPS
- May work with Marketing to develop scientific collateral in oligonucleotides therapeutics, gene therapy, cell therapy, and rare diseases
- Demonstrated ability or aptitude to learn QPS' services and drug discovery/development
Work Location
- This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based
Requirements
- Completion of at least 2 years into a Bachelor of Science degree in relevant scientific discipline that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job
- Must be a self-starter
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and "solution oriented"
