Welding Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Mentor welders and foster a culture of safety, quality, and improvement
- Plan and manage welding projects to meet timelines and budgets
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AWS/ASME standards; lead root cause analysis
- Enforce safety protocols and lead training sessions
- Ensure readiness and calibration of welding and robotic systems
- Maintain records and communicate performance metrics
- Coordinate with engineering, QA, and production
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as weld quality, throughput, and safety
Requirements for Welding Supervisor:
- 5 years in welding, 2 years in supervision; MIG and SAW welding expertise preferred
- High school diploma required; technical training/certification preferred
- AWS, CWI or CWS strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment; familiarity with industry standards and codes
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address quality issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively address issues that arise during welding projects
- A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
