Outbound Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead daily work orders from shipping
- Provide direct and administrative direction to the entire Outbound team
- Ensure planning and performance are being met
- Identify workload of all given areas and shift personnel to areas where additional personnel are needed
- Help with training, coaching, and motivating employees
- Notify supervisor of staff performance and attendance issues as required
- Coach and empower team
Requirements for Outbound Lead:
- Proven work experience as a lead role in a warehouse
- Knowledge of specific outbound functions within the distribution center
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Expertise in warehouse lead procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop staff
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving work environment
- Positive, upbeat and team player attitude
- NetSuite WMS experience a plus
