Position Title: Operator
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm; 2:00pm-10:00pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Operator position available at a company in Monroe, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Samples, tests and documents product quantity and quality while ensuring equipment is performing at an acceptable level per product specifications. Ability to use FT120.
- Loads and unloads trucks according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Properly identify and maintain all HTST/pasteurization charts in accordance with WDA and FDA regulations as required per the PMO.
- Operates/monitors the CIP wash pH for effective cleaning of all equipment and storage vessels.
- Performs CIP on all supporting equipment according to schedules supported by chemical titration records. Must be able to perform all chemical concentration testing.
- Follows all company and plant standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and policies. Supports SQF by maintaining food safety through completing job tasks and maintaining their area in a sanitary manner.
- Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
- Assists in other areas of the plant as needed to ensure continuous operation to meet production requirements.
- Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.
- Promotes safety by participating in inspections, audits and regular training with the ability to apply safe work practices in every task performed.
- Monitors storage of cow water and soft water production and storage to ensure an adequate amount is available for CIP and boilers.
- Operates a complex Scheffers evaporator system, inclusive of start up to shut down, on both whey and WPC. Also operates the ultra-filtration and RO membrane systems, whey HTST and CIP systems.
Operator Requirements:
- This position involves very to moderately strenuous work.
- Entire workday involves standing and walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting.
- Lifting up to 30lbs throughout duration of shift; occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
- This job occasionally involves being on knees inspecting and cleaning the undersides of equipment or on mezzanine.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes the company at all times
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Overtime as requested/required 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the plant: verbal and written.
