Assembler / Packer Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines, perform hand assembly, part locking, and component fastening
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections to detect defects or equipment malfunctions
- Follow all standard work instruction and suggest smart ways to make processes safer or more efficient
- Identify and stop non-conforming processes or defective parts before they move forward
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance when needed
- Complete operator checklists and documentation accurately and on time
- Take ownership of your work area by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and productivity
Requirements for Assembler / Packer:
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or apprenticeship preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Keen eye for detail with a relentless commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Familiarity with metal stamping, measuring instruments and blueprint reading
- Basic understanding of SPC concepts and ISO/TS16949 standards
- Excellent attitude, attendance and teamwork with flexibility to adjust to production needs
