Quality Patient Centered Services LLC (QPCS) is seeking qualified Internal Medicine Physicians to support the Department of Defense at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced physicians interested in delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in a respected military medical environment. All listed shifts are currently available.

Position Details

Position: Internal Medicine Physician
Client: Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency
Facility: Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center
Location: 300 East Hospital Road, Fort Gordon, GA 30905
Additional Worksites: Supporting clinics located within five miles of the hospital
Engagement Type: 1099 independent contractor
Compensation: $150 per hour
Malpractice Coverage: Malpractice insurance assistance is available; applicable terms will be explained before engagement
Security Clearance: A Secret clearance is not required
Federal Requirements: Successful credentialing and background investigation are required

Contract Term

The anticipated contract period consists of:

• One 12-month base period
• Four potential 12-month option periods
• One potential six-month extension period

Option periods and extensions may be exercised at the Government’s discretion and are not guaranteed.

All Shifts Available

Opportunities are currently available across all listed schedules:

• Inpatient: 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
• Emergency Department: 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.
• Outpatient Clinics: 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Coverage is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekdays, weekends, federal holidays, and training holidays. Candidates may identify their preferred shift or shifts when applying. Final schedules and rotations will be coordinated according to facility coverage requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Internal Medicine services.
• Serve as an attending physician for general medicine wards.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate specialty consultations and referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in resident and medical student teaching activities.
• Follow applicable Department of Defense, DHA, facility, patient-safety, and professional-practice requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine through an ABMS- or AOA-recognized board.
• Current, unrestricted medical license issued by a U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction.
• Strong inpatient and outpatient clinical judgment.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary federal healthcare environment.
• Ability to complete all required federal credentialing, privileging, background-investigation, health, and onboarding requirements.
• Availability to support the selected schedule, including weekends and holidays when applicable.

Compensation

1099 Independent Contractor: $150 per hour

Malpractice insurance assistance is available. Final coverage arrangements and engagement terms will be discussed before placement.
