QoSTronics is an electronics manufacturing company specializing in high-quality PCB assembly and production. We are looking for an experienced SMT Programmer to join our team and support our surface-mount technology (SMT) operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, edit, and optimize SMT programs for pick-and-place machines (Juki & MYDATA).Generate and verify machine programs from ODB , Gerber, and BOM files.Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot SMT equipment including printers, ovens, and inspection systems.Perform first article verification and fine-tune placements for accuracy and efficiency.Maintain machine libraries, coordinates, fiducials, feeder setups, and component data.Work with engineering to ensure manufacturability and resolve design or process issues.Support production with line setup, changeovers, and issue resolution.Document processes, update work instructions, and ensure compliance with quality standards (IPC-A-610, ISO).Qualifications2 years of experience as an SMT Programmer or SMT Technician.Hands-on experience with SMT programming software and pick-and-place machines (list specific brands your facility uses).Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes, component packages, and SMT best practices.Ability to read and interpret Gerber files, schematics, and assembly drawings.Knowledge of AOI/AXI programming is a plus.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred Skills (Optional)IPC certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).Experience with NPI and high-mix, low-volume environments.
