A leading organization is looking to hire an Azure DevOps Manager to lead and grow its DevOps function while driving the delivery of scalable, secure, and automated Azure platforms. This is a permanent, hybrid role offering a mix of people leadership, technical oversight, and strategic influence.
The successful candidate will manage DevOps engineers, set technical direction, and partner closely with engineering, architecture, and security teams to enable high-performing delivery at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Azure DevOps engineers
- Define and execute DevOps and platform strategy aligned with business goals
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern Git workflows
- Establish Infrastructure as Code standards (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Drive best practices across automation, security, reliability, and scalability
- Partner with software engineering, architecture, and security stakeholders
- Own platform stability, monitoring, and incident management processes
- Support cloud cost optimisation and operational excellence initiatives
Required Experience
- Strong experience managing DevOps or platform engineering teams
- Hands-on background with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments
- Proven expertise with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience leading DevOps transformations or scaling teams
- Platform Engineering or SRE exposure
- FinOps or cloud cost management experience
- Experience in regulated or large-scale environments
