Core Responsibilities
- Lead integration and planning of the site implementation and roll-out of the Qnity OpEx Framework, aligning the site CI/OpEx roadmap with business priorities and financial targets.
- Establish and facilitate the site Program Management Office (PMO), including the opportunity pipeline, site leadership / LOB decision board, performance monitoring of initiatives, OpEx steering team, and benefit validation through enterprise tracking tools.
- Lead and coach improvement projects from opportunity definition (data analysis, voice of the customer, problem definition) through realization and financial validation, applying Qnity's Industry 4.0 Operational Excellence approach (Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile).
- Launch improvement projects across multiple functions and draft charters with clearly defined benefits, scope, resource requirements, milestones, and timelines — owning portfolio-level program management and on-time, in-full delivery.
- Lead digital CI initiatives at the site — Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, visual management systems, advanced analytics, and connected-worker tools — to accelerate decisions and embed data-driven problem solving.
- Partner with site leadership to establish a common view of current-state operational maturity, identify the highest-value opportunities (margin, EBITDA, operational maturity), and define a credible roadmap to Industry 4.0 Operational Excellence.
- Coordinate and manage interdependencies across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and Finance while driving execution of the site improvement roadmap.
- Lead workshops and mentor site leadership and team members in Operational Excellence techniques (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, TEEP-OEE, structured problem solving).
- Build local CI capability (LPO, GBPL, problem-solving certifications) and promote employee engagement in OpEx across all levels of the organization.
- Actively participate in CI network meetings for cross-site learning and success sharing; introduce new approaches, tools, and concepts to the site in concert with the broader Qnity CI network.
- Translate operational performance into business impact — building financial business cases, validating savings, and communicating progress with executive-level clarity to the Site Leadership Team and BU stakeholders.
- SAP ERP experience is preferred, along with exposure to P&L oversight (without full ownership) and a strong background in supply chain and logistics, ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, continuous improvement, supply chain, or operations leadership at a plant or multi-site level.
- Operations and Operational Excellence experience — proven track record applying Lean and Six Sigma to deliver measurable performance gains in a manufacturing environment. Certified Black Belt or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Digital skills — hands-on proficiency with Power BI, Power Apps, and visual management/digital performance systems; familiarity with MES, data historians, advanced analytics, and Industry 4.0 / connected-worker technologies.
- Project and program management — demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios from start to finish, delivering on time and in full across multiple functions, with strong PMO and governance discipline.
- Influential leadership — proven ability to lead through influence across levels and functions without direct authority, mobilize cross-functional teams, and serve as a resilient change agent through significant management of change.
- Business acumen — strong understanding of P&L, margin, and EBITDA drivers; able to connect operational improvements to financial outcomes and prioritize work based on business value.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills; outstanding drive for impact and the ability to lead through teaching and coaching.
