The Quality Technician position is in the Poromerics Finishing area.
This role supports inspection quality, calibration, and standard adherence by collecting and analyzing inspection data, performing audits, coordinating calibration activities, and serving as a liaison between shift teams, supervision, and the Quality Technical Advisor.
The schedule is five (5) consecutive days a week; 2 am -10:30 am or 2pm to 10:30 pm; the days must be consistent week to week to ensure balanced engagement with all shifts; weekend coverage is desirable. Business-needs may provide opportunity for or requirement for some overtime.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection Quality & Calibration
- Serve as the on-shift inspection subject matter expert.
- Complete daily inspection audits and document results in the daily audit tracking file.
- Administer monthly inspection calibration tests.
- Complete monthly inspection verification with each inspection operator on shift.
- Receive and manage on-shift Quality Incident Report (QIR) escalations.
- Coach operators on proper QIR submission and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Report quality issues and trends to the Quality technical advisor.
- Manage on-shift MRB issues, create MIDAS as needed, and communicate hold and disposition status between shifts and Technical Advisors.
- Work collaboratively with supervision and the Quality Technical Advisor on calibration results and individual gap-closure plans.
- Complete daily and monthly light readings and particle counts at inspection stations per standard.
- Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Provide support to address and resolve internal and external customer needs related to inspection quality.
- Strong working knowledge of inspection criteria and inspection techniques.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a QC line or inspection role.
- High School diploma/GED
- Demonstrated attention to detail with strong quality and safety focus.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coach and influence peers on standard work and quality expectations.
- Comfortable working cross-shift and collaborating with technical and supervisory roles.
- Basic computer and SharePoint proficiency for audit and data tracking.
