What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Qnity Electronics?
The QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that products manufactured meet established quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished goods, monitoring production processes, and documenting findings to maintain product quality and compliance with the quality management system and applicable regulations.
Roles Responsibilities
• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finish goods for compliance with specifications.
• Perform testing according to standards.
• Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain documentation per quality procedures.
• Identify and report non-conforming products; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensure containment and disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.
• Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 QMS and customer requirements.
• Support Quality Engineers with internal and external NCMRs and CARs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Skills
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection role, ideally in building products or related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems).
Education
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing preferred.
