Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other appliances
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation standards
- Assist in meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of quality food
- Follow food safety protocols related to handling, storage, and temperature control to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
- Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient needs when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety management practices
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
