We are QMed, an employee-owned company – a leader in medical supply distribution with business relationships across the globe! We seek a dedicated and experienced Sr. Buyer / Analyst to join our Business Development Team. The Sr. Business Development Buyer / Analyst will support key areas of the purchasing and customer offer process. This position requires strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications is essential. A solid understanding of profit margin analysis, supply and demand theory, and forecasting is preferred. The Senior Business Development Buyer/Analyst will contribute to various aspects of projects, working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and TASKS:
- Vendor pricing analysis and negotiations
- Analyze and respond to customer RFPs
- Inventory management, including replenishment, DIOH, & back orders
- Evaluate bids and secure competitive pricing for goods
- Identify new business opportunities and support business growth initiatives
- Prepare reports for executive review
- Conduct data analytics and maintain databases
- Miscellaneous special projects and other assigned tasks
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and EDUCATION:
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- General Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience required. Must have a passion for analytics, data mining, and problem-solving.
- Background Experience: Background in any of the following areas is a plus: retail planning/buying, purchasing, logistics, or inventory control. Ability to demonstrate negotiation techniques and strategic decision-making. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong aptitude for Excel and data analysis.
- Education: BS/BA Degree in Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
