Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support medication administration reminders.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive medical information.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those with dementia or memory care needs, fostering a caring environment.
- Transportation to and from doctor's appointments.
- Light housekeeping

Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) techniques, including CPR.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or behavioral health care.
- Excellent communication skills for caregiving interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of patient transfer methods and use of assistive devices, such as wheelchairs.
